Surron Light Bee 2 520 Rear Sprocket – 7075-T6 Aluminum with Carbon Fiber Inlay
The EBG Surron Light Bee 2 520 rear sprocket is CNC-machined in-house from a solid billet of 7075-T6 aerospace aluminum and finished with genuine carbon fiber accent inlays. It replaces the heavy stock steel sprocket with a part that is far lighter and still very stiff – cutting rotating and unsprung weight at the rear wheel for sharper acceleration, quicker suspension response and a cleaner, race-built look.
Available in 43T, 46T and 49T for the 520 chain, in Black or Raw Silver.

EBG 7075-T6 Aluminum vs Stock Steel Sprocket
The Light Bee 2 leaves the factory with a stamped steel rear sprocket. Steel is cheap and wears slowly, but it is heavy – and that weight sits right at the rear hub, where it is both rotating mass and unsprung mass. 7075-T6 aluminum is roughly one third the density of steel, yet it is one of the strongest aluminum alloys made, used in aircraft structures and race components. Here is how they compare:
| Stock steel sprocket | EBG 7075-T6 aluminum sprocket | |
|---|---|---|
| Material | Stamped steel | CNC-machined 7075-T6 aerospace aluminum |
| Weight | Heavy – steel is about 3× denser than aluminum | Much lighter – less rotating and unsprung weight |
| Stiffness & strength | Strong but heavy | 7075-T6 is one of the strongest aluminum alloys – very stiff for its weight |
| Acceleration | More mass to spin up | Lighter rear wheel spins up faster |
| Suspension | Heavier unsprung mass | Rear shock reacts quicker over bumps |
| Finish | Plain painted steel | Anodized Black or Raw Silver with carbon fiber inlay |
| Gearing options | One stock size | 43T, 46T or 49T to tune your gearing |
Choose Your Gearing: 43T, 46T or 49T
- 43T – taller gearing for higher top speed on fire roads and open terrain.
- 46T – balanced all-round gearing for mixed trail riding.
- 49T – shorter gearing for harder launches, steep climbs and tight technical trails.

Why Riders Upgrade
- Lighter and stiff – 7075-T6 aluminum takes weight off the rear wheel without giving up rigidity.
- Precision CNC machining – accurate tooth profile for smooth, quiet 520 chain engagement.
- Carbon fiber accent – genuine carbon inlay for a premium, race-built look.
- Matches EBG parts – pairs with the Light Bee 2 Floating Brake Rotor, the Light Bee 2 Front Rotor & Fork Guard and other Surron Light Bee 2 parts.
What’s Included
- 1× EBG Surron Light Bee 2 520 rear sprocket in the selected teeth count and color
Installation & Care Notes
Check chain length and alignment after fitting, torque the sprocket bolts to spec and re-check them after the first ride. Keep the chain clean and lubricated – a well-maintained chain is the best way to maximize the life of any aluminum sprocket.
